I use these a lot. I do like them but they are really a one and done type of use product.
Really enjoy this product, has multiple types/tips to fit situational needs. I mainly used to clean some messy hot wax up. Worked great and could get a couple uses before tearing the swab
Loaned out a few of my paintball markers to some new players for their first time out and had to do some major cleaning afterwards. These were great as they left no cotton fibers in areas that can make a difference in the functioning of the mechanics. Cleaned out an the paint in the small crevices, and are fairly reusable. Love these and am now keeping them for my paintball tool box permanently.
Sturdy, absorbent, don't fray, and depending on application a degree of 'reuse' possible.
These swabs are pretty durable because of the plastic and come in some very useful sizes. The only issue is the thin flat tips, which can be useful on mostly flat surfaces, but not as good for tight curved surfaces, such as the inside of a 9mm or 12ga chamber. The thin swabs are ok for spreading cleaning fluids around, but not so much for absorbing and removing contaminants compared to a normal fat wooden cotton swab. On the plus side, these can bend a lot more than wood without breaking. I…t's good to have a few of these around for challenging spaces, but these are not replacements for normal swabs for general use, especially at 4x the cost.
These small swabs are great...easy to handle, absorbent, clean working. The heads do not fray and hold liquid nicely...water so far, I haven't tried solvent yet).They are of very nice size and variety. One thing that is not mentioned in the promo: the plastic handles are as stiff and resilient as wood, but with heat (I've only used a heat gun) they can quickly be bent to whatever shape you need.I haven't had to use them much yet (I'm not there yet on my ship model) but when I have used them…, I'm very pleased.CW
