I bought these to clean contacts on integrated circuit boards. The traditional ones with cotton tips (like Q-tips) leave lint on the boards which isn't really good. So I though foam pads swabs would be better. Well, not these. The foam pads are so thin they can barely hold any liquid and they don't stay on the stick and keep falling off. They are basically useless. Mine went directly to the garbage bin.
These swabs are nice and soft. Great for getting into small spaces for cleaning.
these come in handy when cleaning area that are hard to reach. I use it to help me clean my computer parts and getting in between the key board keys.
I needed something to form small fillets of JB Weld epoxy without leaving cotton fibers in them like normal cotton swabs do. These did the job fine, just the right size.
Got these to clean paintball gun internals without getting cotton strands laying in the moving bits. Had to use these at the field when paint had broken in the breach getting paint in places it shouldn’t have been. They worked wonders! I had to use less than I would with traditional swabs as I could wipe most of the paint off the swab and continue to use the same one to get the paint out with no hairs stuck on the metal. 100/10 plan to get more when these start to run low
A bit harder than qtips so they're made to take iso alcohol or peroxide and get into those corners as you need to get them cleaned. Bodies don't snap and don't mush out easily which can be a headache using those that do to really accomplish degriming.Heads are a tight weave wrap so they can work great for scrubbing in small corners and such, lifting dirt and corrosion out with ease but not scratching the surface.
Good for getting into small spaces, and as others have mentioned, the material used on the tips doesn't leave residue behind. I do think the swabs are a little pricey for only 100, but they are good for intended use.
I have used these foam-tips for my painting techniques...they work fantastic...no shredding and unraveling of the cotton fibers, like a cotton swab. Impressed! I will order again.
It's not worth it
