Worked well to diagnosis old lead paint around my house.
Results in just 20 seconds give me peace of mind,especially with my 3 years old grandson around.The sealable bag keeps the swabs fresh and the ease of use is a real plus,High recommended for families with young children!
The instructions tell you to wet the tip and wait for it to turn yellow, but mine were yellow out of the package. However I tried them out on the item I wanted to test and they showed no lead, and I tested it on something I knew had lead and it changed colour. So I feel pretty confident in them.

The swabs are already a dark mustard yellow, so I used multiple swabs in order to confirm my process was accurate as directions said. Click on cup picture and though the coloring of swabs is still mustard yellow, you can see a distict pink color. My Stantley's button on bottom has never been broken and theyve never been in the dishwasher. The white one has been used for over 2 years and black one a year. I'm a nurse and now I need to worry about lead consumption and potential long-term health c…oncerns for my son and myself, if any. Are these swabs truly valid? Giving 4 stars since I'm unsure of validity of swabs. I'm still trying to research. Help!?
Unfortunately everything contaminated with lead apparently, air fryers , Stanley’s, kuriges etc good to have great performance! Little more expensive then I’d like to pay,
