It showed me I needed to add nitrogen. So I did. I don’t know how accurate it is as I had nothing to compare it with such as a lab analysis.

I'm looking forward to using this in my garden once it warms up enough to test it out this year!

This was an easy way to test the nitrogen levels in my planters. Comes with instructions easy to follow. Provides testing strips for testing and a reusable tube for soil collection. I like the convenience of using this kit to monitor my porch plants soil condition because I’ve been having a hard time finding the right balance between fertilizer, plant food, and watering.

I will update my review once I've tested more soil with these strips with distilled water. I used reverse osmosis filtered water and got the same test result each time which was the same as the strip before testing. So, either the readings are correct or possibly using RO water isn't possible with these strips. I don't know.The container the strips are stored in is sturdy. The little spoon shovel and testing container fit together nicely. Seems like a good product, but I believe user error on m…y end has resulted in faulty results.

This is a kit that provides you everything you need to test the pH level and Nitrogen level of your soil. It was fairly easy to use to test the soil in my yard. The need for using distilled water complicates things a little but is necessary to obtain an accurate reading. Good simple kit that is less expensive than having a lab do a soil test. Reminds me of HS Chemistry class.

These test strips are really easy to use. You don't need to be a scientist or even careful with these straps. Simple directions and simple resultsGood to have on hand for indoor and outdoor plants. Nitrogen is important to plant growth, so these will be a garden growing asset!___I have very sandy soil, nearly beach sand, so amending the soil for growing things in important. I could do test after test of soil in various raised beds, but that is not the route I am going. Good compost plus purchased bags of soil mixed with my sand (and other add-ins) are how my beds were created. I ordered this more for the ability to know how a given bed is doing for nitrogen, so I am glad to have these.…___It's a simple test, as you can see from the web-page and let's me see things without waiting for the results from a more detailed (and expensive) mail-away test.
